Built by King Dhanga in 999 CE, the Vishvanatha Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is renowned for its perfectly proportioned shikhara and its exquisite sculptures.

The temple features beautifully carved apsaras (celestial nymphs) engaged in various activities, such as writing letters or plucking thorns from their feet. A massive Nandi bull pavilion faces the main shrine.
