Vaishno Devi Temple

Vaishno Devi is one of the most revered and heavily visited Hindu shrines in the world, located in the Trikuta Mountains at an elevation of 1,585 meters (5,200 ft). The sanctum is a holy cave housing the goddess in the form of three natural rock manifestations (pindis).

Millions of pilgrims undertake the arduous 12 km trek from Katra every year, chanting 'Jai Mata Di'. The shrine is managed by the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, which has developed extensive infrastructure for the massive influx of devotees.
