Unakoti Rock-Cut Reliefs & Temples

Unakoti Rock-Cut Reliefs in North Tripura district is a colossal pilgrimage site featuring thousands of rock-cut relief carvings sculpted directly onto a forested hill cliffside. The central carving is the 30-foot tall Unakotiswara Kal Bhairava head of Shiva, flanked by Ganga and Durga figures.

Dating from the 7th to 9th centuries, it is one of the grandest rock-carved Shaiva sanctuaries in North-East India.
