Tirunelli Maha Vishnu Temple in Wayanad district is an ancient granite stone temple nestled in the Brahmagiri hills. Known as the "Kashi of the South", the temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and features a 30-pillar stone mandapa and a granite aqueduct bringing water from the mountain stream Papanasini.
Documented in Chera dynasty inscriptions, it is one of Kerala oldest high-altitude pilgrimage sanctuaries.
