Sudi Twin-Towered Temple (Jora Gopura — twin towers) in Gadag district is one of the most architecturally unusual temples of the Kalyani Chalukya period. Built around 1050 CE by architect Nagadeva, it features two equal-height towers (shikharas) rising from a single shared mandapa — an extremely rare design in Indian temple architecture.
Each tower enshrines a separate deity yet they share the same sculptural programs. The concept of dvaita (duality) embodied in the twin-tower plan has made it a favourite subject of temple architecture scholars.
