The Ram Mandir is the grand new temple consecrated on January 22, 2024 at the birthplace of Lord Rama in Ayodhya. After centuries of historical dispute and legal proceedings, the Supreme Court of India in 2019 cleared the way for the Hindu temple to be built at the site.
The temple is built in the Nagara (North Indian) style using pink sandstone from Rajasthan. Designed by Sompura architects — the same family that designed the rebuilt Somnath Temple — it covers over 70 acres. The consecration ceremony was attended by millions watching across India.
