Pillalamarri Nameshwara Temple

Pillalamarri Nameshwara Temple (1208 CE) is a Kakatiya stone temple famous for its beautiful three-shrine (Trikuta) architecture and its sacred relationship with the ancient Pillalamarri banyan tree — one of India's oldest and largest trees, under which the deity is traditionally worshipped.

The temple features lathe-turned pillars, intricate floral ceilings, and richly carved door frames with river goddesses. The entire complex under the ancient banyan's canopy creates a uniquely atmospheric pilgrimage experience.
