Nrusinghanath Temple, Buguda

The Nrusinghanath Temple in Buguda is dedicated to Lord Narasimha (man-lion avatar of Vishnu). The town of Buguda is also famous for its exquisite traditional painting style — Buguda paintings — which adorn the walls of this temple complex.

Built in the characteristic Kalinga style, the temple draws thousands of devotees during Nrusingha Chaturdashi. It represents an important center of Vaishnavism in south Odisha.
