About
Nohta Mahadeva Temple (Nohleshwar) in Damoh district was built in the 10th century by Queen Nohala, wife of Kalachuri King Yuvarajadeva I. Elevated on a high jagati (plinth), the temple features a square garbhagriha, pillared mandapa, and a well-proportioned Nagara shikhara.
Exterior walls carry sculpted figures of lion gargoyles, celestial musicians, and dikpalas, making it a key Kalachuri monument in Bundelkhand.
