Narayanpur Shiva Temple on the Mahanadi River in Baloda Bazar district is an 11th-century Kalachuri stone temple built of red sandstone. The temple features a stellate garbhagriha, a pillared mandapa, and wall sculptures showing Vishnu avatars, apsaras, and erotic panels.
It represents the zenith of Ratanpur Kalachuri temple art along the Mahanadi valley.
