About
Narayan Sarovar is one of the five holy lakes (Panch-Sarovar) of Hinduism, located in the remote Kutch district near the Arabian Sea. A cluster of Vaishnava temples built by Rao Deshalji II's queen in 1750 CE stands on the banks of this sacred lake.
The temples include shrines dedicated to Trivikram, Laxminarayan, Govardhannath, Dwarkanath, and Laxmiji. Due to its extreme western location, it has historically been an important pilgrimage and border site.
