Mata Mansa Devi Temple, Panchkula

Mata Mansa Devi Temple at Panchkula sits on the Bilaspur Hill at the foothills of the Shivalik range and is one of the most important Shakti shrines of northern India. The presiding deity, Mansa Devi, is a form of Goddess Shakti who is believed to fulfil the wishes (mansa = wish) of her devotees.

The temple is one of the Sidha Shaktipeethas of Haryana and is also associated with a solar eclipse pilgrimage tradition. Two pindis (natural rock formations representing the goddess) are housed in the sanctum — one with three faces and one with five faces. The temple receives millions of visitors annually, particularly during Navratri. A ropeway connects the lower town to the hilltop temple, offering panoramic views of the Shivalik Hills.
