Mandore, the former Rathore capital 9 km from Jodhpur, contains a beautiful complex of temples, cenotaphs, and galleries. The Hall of Heroes has 15 warriors and 16 gods carved from the living rock.

The ancient Mandore Shiva temples date to the pre-Rathore Gurjara-Pratihara period and represent some of the earliest surviving temple architecture of Rajasthan. The Mandore gardens housing these monuments are among the most atmospheric historical parks in India.
