About
Lodurva was the ancient capital of the Bhati Rajputs before they moved to Jaisalmer. Today, it is famous for its magnificent Jain temple dedicated to the 23rd Tirthankara, Parshvanatha. It is carved in brilliant yellow sandstone.
The temple is renowned for its stunning torana (ornate arched gateway) and the 'Kalpavriksha' (mythical wish-fulfilling tree) carved in stone inside the temple complex. The intricate jali (lattice) work on the walls is exceptional.
