Kuknur Navalinga Temple

Kuknur Navalinga Temple in Koppal district is a 9th-century Rashtrakuta stone complex of nine (nava) Shiva shrines arranged in a grid within a single compound — symbolising the nine cosmic manifestations of Shiva. Each shrine is a small complete temple with its own garbhagriha and miniature tower.

While some towers have fallen, the carved bases, pillared corridors, and doorframes survive. Stone inscriptions document donations made during its active years — an important Rashtrakuta-era monument.
