Krishnaraja Sagar Narasimha Swamy Temple

Mandya district contains many ancient Hoysala temples, with the most notable being the Narasimha Swamy temples near the Krishnaraja Sagar dam. The district was the heartland of Hoysala power, and temples here reflect the finest traditions of Hoysala craftsmanship.

The Nimishamba Temple on the Hemavathi river is also an important sacred site, believed to fulfill prayers within a 'nimisha' (moment), hence the name.
