Kodumbalur Moovar Koil

Kodumbalur Moovar Koil in Pudukkottai district is a 10th-century Chola-period granite complex originally consisting of three (moovar) parallel shrines, of which two survive intact. Built by Irukkuvel chieftain Boothi Vikramakesari, these all-stone Dravida temples feature sculpted wall niches with Shiva figures like Gangadhara, Tripurantaka, and Ardhanarishvara.

Their architectural proportions served as a prototype for Rajaraja I Great Living Chola Temples.
