Khed Ranchhodraiji Temple

Khed Ranchhodraiji Temple is a notable 12th-century Vaishnava stone temple on the Luni River in Barmer district, dedicated to Lord Ranchhod (Vishnu-Krishna) and patronised by the early Rathore rulers. It represents the western Rajputana style of medieval temple architecture.

Built of warm-toned Barmer sandstone, the temple features a well-preserved shikhara with carved amalaka finial. Annual festivals draw pilgrims from across the arid Barmer and Balotra regions. It is one of the few pre-Mughal stone shrines surviving in the remote Luni basin.
