About
Kakra Marh is a 10th-century Chandela granite temple standing on an island in Madan Sagar lake at Mahoba. Built by Chandela king Madanavarman, it exhibits Khajuraho-style architectural planning with granite stone construction.
Dedicated to Shiva, its location surrounded by lake waters creates a scenic historical landmark of Bundelkhand royal heritage.
