About
Jageshwar Dham is a spectacular complex of over 100 stone temples dedicated to Shiva, set amidst a dense deodar forest in the Kumaon Himalayas. It is believed to be the site of the Nagesh Jyotirlinga.
The temples were primarily built by the Katyuri kings between the 7th and 14th centuries. The architecture features simple yet elegant Nagara style shikharas. The serene setting, with the Jataganga stream flowing nearby, makes it one of the most spiritually atmospheric sites in Uttarakhand.
