Haveri Siddhesvara Temple

Haveri Siddhesvara Temple is an 11th-century Western Chalukya stone shrine in Haveri, dedicated to Lord Shiva as Siddhesvara. The temple uniquely faces west — an orientation considered auspicious for Shiva shrines in this tradition. It is an important example of the transition between early Western Chalukya and Kalyani Chalukya architectural styles.

The exterior walls bear sculptural friezes of divinities, dvarapalas, and celestial beings. The shikhara retains its original profile with clearly articulated angas and a well-preserved stone amalaka.
