Harshnath Temple

Harshnath Temple is a 10th-century Chahamana dynasty stone shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva as Harshanatha, perched at 3,100 feet on Harshagiri Hill near Sikar. Built around 956 CE by King Vigraharaja II, the temple was once part of a grand complex including a large sabha mandapa. Despite medieval destruction, the surviving shikhara, carvings of dancers and musicians, and a remarkable founding inscription make this a key monument of early Rajput-period Nagara architecture.
