Located opposite the famous Chand Baori stepwell in Abhaneri, the Harshat Mata Temple is a ruined 8th-9th century Gurjara-Pratihara temple dedicated to Harshat Mata, goddess of joy and happiness. Though damaged during medieval raids, the carved plinths, pillars, and relief panels display masterly classical Nagara stone reliefs depicting divine couples, music, and dance.
