Gurgi Masaun Temple Ruins

Gurgi Masaun in Rewa district preserves the extensive ruins of a major 10th-century Kalachuri temple city. Once housing the colossal Trikuteshvara temple and monumental carved torana gates (now preserved at Rewa Fort), the site ruins feature carved pillar bases, mandapa floors, and colossal images of Shiva, Parvati, and Vishnu.

It was one of the largest royal temple construction projects undertaken by the Kalachuris of Tripuri.
