The Bhimeswara Temple at Draksharama is one of the five Pancharama Kshetras (five abodes of Shiva) in Andhra Pradesh and one of the most important Shiva temples in South India. The lingam here is known as Daksha Nayaka.

Built by the Eastern Chalukya kings, the temple's magnificent gopuram can be seen from miles around. Its unique architectural style blends Kakatiya and Chalukya elements with a very elaborate mandapa.
