The Devi Talab Mandir is one of the most revered Shakti shrines in Punjab, dedicated to Durga Mata. The sacred tank (talab) surrounding the temple is fed by an underground spring and is central to the temple's ritual life. It is one of the 51 Shakti Peethas, believed to be where the right breast of Goddess Sati fell.
