Perched atop a rocky hill in Mitawali, this Chausath Yogini Temple (also known as Ekattarso Mahadeva Temple) features a highly unusual circular, open-air design. Built in the 11th century, it has 64 small chambers around a central circular courtyard that contains a main shrine.
It is widely believed (though debated by some historians) that the circular, pillared architecture of this temple inspired the design of the old Indian Parliament House in New Delhi.
