Bijolia Shiva Temples

Bijolia Shiva Temple Complex in Bhilwara district is a celebrated ensemble of ancient stone temples built by the Chauhan dynasty in the 11th–12th century CE. The complex is anchored by the Undeshwar Mahadev temple — a well-preserved Nagara-style Shiva shrine at the edge of a dramatic rocky gorge.

The site features the sacred Mandakini Kund (bathing tank) and the important Bijolia Rock Inscription (1170 CE) documenting Chauhan genealogy. The setting — overlooking a wooded gorge — is dramatic and pilgrims continue to worship here today.
