Bhimavaram Somarama Temple

Bhimavaram Somarama Temple is one of the revered five Pancharama Kshetras dedicated to Lord Shiva, situated in Bhimavaram, West Godavari district. The presiding deity is Somarama — Shiva in the form associated with Soma (the Moon).

Legend states the Shiva lingam here is of the same composition as Chandra's lingam, hence the name Somarama. The complex has a significant gopuram, a spacious prakara (courtyard), and several mandapas. One of the most visited Shiva pilgrimages in coastal Andhra Pradesh.
