Badrinath Temple

Badrinath Temple is one of the most sacred pilgrimage sites in Hinduism, forming part of both the Char Dham and Chota Char Dham circuits. Situated at an altitude of 3,133 meters along the Alaknanda River, it is dedicated to Lord Vishnu in his Badri Narayan form. Originally established by Adi Shankara in the 8th century, the brightly painted multi-tiered wooden facade is set against snow-covered Himalayan peaks.
