About
The Alampur Temples (Navabrahmeshwara group) are nine Shaiva temples at the confluence of the Tungabhadra and Krishna rivers, built by the Early Western Chalukyas in the 7th–8th centuries CE. They form a crucial link in understanding the evolution from early Chalukyan to the mature Deccan style.
The site has been designated a potential UNESCO World Heritage Site and is home to an ASI archaeological museum housing rescued sculptures of exquisite quality.
